AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment provides for the creation of the position of National Flood Insurance Advocate within FEMA; and requires the National Flood Insurance Advocate to report to Congress with analysis of the major problems facing the National Flood Insurance Program.

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment numbered 6 printed in Part B of House Report 110-351 to create the position of National Flood Insurance Advocate in FEMA which would: (1) transmit a comprehensive report to Congress about the major problems facing the Flood Insurance Program; and (2) report to Congress about the feasibility and effectiveness of establishing an Office of the Flood Insurance Advocate, headed by the National Flood Insurance Advocate, to assist insureds in resolving problems with FEMA.
